Few Photos of Sunday

We boil the water for 5 minutes and then run it through a special Brita filter that removes heavy metals... yeah. I try not to think about that foamy scum ringing the pot.

We finally conquered the uber-kompleks washing machine. We figured out that you have to do each step separately: wash, spin, rinse, spin...and finally "trocknen", drying. Jason's gone to throw in some "flussenspulen"...
Dumplings filled with potatoes and mushrooms...
...become soup for lunch- yum! Oh wait... we used that pot from the beginning.

  1. Hallo,

From looking at the SIemens website it seems you have a "full automatic" washer and dryer made in Turkey for eastern europe (in the 70's)
    ... good luck with that!!

I found some manuals for sale, but no free-bees. It looks like you have the settings correct, it may just be faulty.

Is there another setting selector in the soap drawer??

At least you got it to work somehow... and get to practice your german...

  2. Am a little concerned that your profile lists you as "male".

Sounds like a great adventure already...will look forward to following your blog...where did the word "blog" come from, anyway?? Sounds like something you would use a Britta filter to remove!

Stay safe, keeping you in our prayers and thoughts.
    Fran
